The establishing of the baseline location of an object, and subsequent structural monitoring of it, is something that may be needed for a myriad of reasons. Maybe it is a wall that is built in a critical area, and you need to determine that it is stationary over time. We can go out at specified intervals for as long as you need and take measurement to see if it moves. Same with dams, buildings, or anything else that may have the tendency to move over time.
